sparqs launches ELIR Cycle 3 Guidance

We are pleased to launch our ELIR Cycle 3 Guidance!  This guidance has been written in collaboration with QAA Scotland, for students’ association staff and officers, as well as members of university staff that support student engagement in the universities’ quality arrangements.

The guidance focuses on all aspects and activities related to the ELIR process over the four years during ELIR Cycle 3. This includes the review year and all the run-up activities, but also Annual Discussions with QAA Scotland, post ELIR events, and handover within the students’ association, as well as many other activities. The guidance is split into chapters corresponding with each year within the ELIR cycle, making it easy for students’ associations to establish where their institution is during the ELIR cycle, and what activities the students’ association should be engaged in.

At the end of each section you will find “Tips for getting the most out of…” which we hope will be a quick and useful place for students’ associations to get an idea of what they and the institution can do to be more engaged in the ELIR process.

This guidance does not replace the QAA Scotland ELIR handbook, but is designed to complement what is written in the handbook.

We hope this guidance will be a useful resource for everyone. If you have any specific questions please contact Eve Lewis, Head of sparqs – eve.lewis@sparqs.ac.uk
