That's Quality Colleges - 10th August 2016

That’s Quality Colleges took place on Wednesday 10th August 2016 at the College Development Network in Stirling.

The event was aimed at college student officers and students association staff. It provided a comprehensive introduction to national arrangements and procedures that help colleges ensure the best possible learning experience for their students. Participants were supported to consider how best to use these arrangements and procedures in their roles in order to identify and bring about change for their students.

This training is a valuable part of induction for newly elected student officers, providing an opportunity to work with fellow students’ association colleagues to create learning and teaching objectives for the year ahead and discover how to achieve them.

Objectives:

By the end of the event, participants were enabled to:

  • Understand the national arrangements and procedures that make up the quality framework for colleges.
  • Be familiar with the different organisations that support quality in colleges.
  • Be able to explain the college processes and mechanisms that help colleges assure and enhance quality.
  • Create an action plan for the year ahead using national and college quality arrangements.

See the event page for the materials from the day.

The event hashtag, for use on Twitter, was #TQ16college
