sparqs and the Higher Education Academy worked collaboratively an exciting new pilot initiative for higher education in Scotland: the Scottish Student Subject Networks.
The aim of the initiative was to bring together student course / class representatives from across five different subject areas to proactively review elements of their learning experience and the curriculum, with a view to engaging them more actively as co-creators of their learning.
Subjects included within this pilot are as follows:
• Biosciences and Life Sciences
• Economics
• Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences (GEES)
• Information and Computer Sciences (ICS) and
• Sociology, Anthropology and Politics (C-SAP)
Further to the pilot, which ended in July 2009, the Bioscience Student Network sustained its work.
If you are a class or course in the field of Bioscience and are interested in joining the network, share and learn with other student representatives, please contact the Higher Education Academy in Scotland.
