Call for student submissions - deadline 10th February!

Want to be involved in a conference on equality and diversity?

Equality Challenge Unit are looking for student-led presentations, workshops, or debates for a conference in Edinburgh in April 2015, being run jointly with HEA Scotland.

Submissions are required on the following topics:

  • How can universities make sure all students feel as though they belong?
  • How can students’ associations, societies and social activities help students develop intercultural and diversity skills?
  • How can teaching staff bring diversity into teaching and assessment?

To get involved you will need to submit a proposal by 10th February 2015.

sparqs works as part of the advisory group for the project that supports the development of an inclusive curriculum. We’d be obliged if institutions could advertise this to try and generate some student submissions.

If students have examples they’d like to share, sparqs can help them work their ideas into a submission to be considered for the conference – contact Stephanie Millar, sparqs Development Advisor to discuss: stephanie.millar@sparqs.ac.uk
