The sparqs' Education Officers’ Network (EON) has been set up in response to feedback from student officers who have expressed the need for a national officer network with members from both universities and colleges.
The Education Officers’ Network is designed to be a space for officers to network and work on issues together in a cross-sector capacity. This event is aimed at student officers with education remits from colleges and universities across Scotland.
A detailed agenda will follow, but sessions will include a workshop on a ‘mentally healthy curriculum’ and a group session on sector priorities for the year.
The event hashtag, for use on Twitter, is #sparqsEON
The event will begin at 10am and finish at 4pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided and the event is free to attend.
The creation of EON follows the success of sparqs’ Academic Representation Co-ordinators’ (ARC) Network, a professional network for staff with academic representation co-ordination roles in universities and colleges. Following a similar model to the ARC Network, EON will meet three times a year at different institutions across Scotland.
