Our Student Engagement Staff Network will have its first meeting of 2021 on Tuesday 9th February, which will also be the first in our new format of monthly, half-day events.
The network is aimed at staff in universities and colleges with student engagement and academic representation development roles.
See the agenda for details of the meeting, which will include sessions on our project around monitoring the diversity of course reps, and creating and using data during COVID-19. Our usual split session will involve a college session on the 'College of the Future' and a university session on the QAA Enhancement Theme student-led project.

The event is free to join, and details of the joining arrangements will be circulated in due course to those who register.
As we are not constrained by venue size, there is no limit to the number of participants from institutions. We still require you to register, though, so we know numbers and can keep the event secure. As usual we are specifically inviting staff from institutions or students’ associations in Scotland with student engagement or academic representation responsibilities.
Online meeting security
The meeting will be run online with the following security process:
Simply copy and paste the link you receive in your joining instructions directly into your browser. The link is not available on social media or our website and is sent by email only to those who have registered for the event. To ensure only those who have registered join the meeting, we ask that you do not share the link with anyone. You will be asked to input a password to join the meeting. When you join, you will go to a “waiting room”, a member of sparqs staff will then admit only those who have registered. If the identity of a person is not known, they will not be admitted, so please enter your name as the name you registered to attend.
