Student engagement in college learner outcomes

Students and staff from across the college sector are working with sparqs to explore partnership initiatives in response to priorities on attainment, retention and other learner outcomes.

Drawing on key sector reports, college KPIs, students’ association input and other data, the project is developing understandings and outputs relating to the impact student representatives and students’ associations can have on conversations about enhancing learner outcomes. This work is taking various forms, including staff and student conversations in priority areas within colleges, development of tools and solutions to share across the sector, consultation with key sector committees, and mapping of effective practice.

Project participants will also deliver a seminar at CDN's College Expo in June 2023 to share initial output, and are looking to consult with the sector on themes to continue into the 2023-24 academic year. Colleges and students’ associations not yet involved in the project are welcome to discuss participation so please get in touch if you are interested…. and thanks to all those who have been involved so far!
