Student Engagement Community of Interest Develops

Scotland’s Colleges’ new Community of Interest for Student Engagement was launched on Monday 19th March 2012, with the support of sparqs and NUS Scotland. Its focus is primarily on academic representation and governance, and supporting staff practitioners who work with students’ associations in these areas.

Obviously the current regionalisation agenda in the college sector is a major focus for the Community of Interest, and a major event will be held on Monday 18th June 2012 at Scotland’s Colleges in Stirling to explore this.

More information about the event in June can be found at: http://events.scotlandscolleges.ac.uk/events/show/4358

The day will give participants information and ideas on how to engage students fully in issues relating to regionalisation and governance, and will be a platform for learning and sharing effective practice.

The Scotland’s Colleges Community of Interest for Student Engagement has an emerging online space at: http://www.scotlandscolleges.ac.uk/curriculum/communities-of-interest/student-engagement-community-of-interest.html
