Course Rep Training materials now available in Gaelic

sparqs’ Introductory Course Rep Training materials have recently been translated into the Gaelic language.

The materials – including the workbook and PowerPoint slides used in our introductory course rep training – were translated with support from the Scottish Funding Council’s strategic development fund for Gaelic.

Although sparqs has supported Scotland’s Gaelic college Sabhal Mòr Ostaig to deliver its own training to course reps through the medium of Gaelic, this has previously been done with only the English materials available in the session.

The translated materials now mean that training at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig can consist of not only Gaelic-medium delivery but also Gaelic-medium supporting materials, ensuring the training sessions are fully in keeping with the college’s language policy.

The materials are also available, however, for all other institutions whose curricula include Gaelic courses and would like to offer their course reps access to Gaelic-language course rep training materials to complement their existing training in English.

The materials are available on the CRT webpage.
