Review of the Quality Enhancement Framework (QEF)

On Wednesday 21st January 2015, sparqs and NUS Scotland held a 'Future of Quality Conversation' event at the University of Stirling on the consultation on the review of the Quality Enhancement Framework.

Aimed at student officers and students’ association staff, the event asked participants to think critically about the QEF and the future of HE quality in Scotland. It was also an opportunity for students to comment on and shape NUS Scotland’s response to the consultation.

The event included a thought-provoking debate on the strengths and weaknesses of different models of quality: inspection-led, market-led and enhancement-led.

By the end of the day, student officers were better equipped to write their responses to the SFC consultation.  You can view more information about the event, including materials from the day.

The consultation closed on Friday 6th February 2015 and you can view both the sparqs response and the NUS Scotland response.
