That's Quality Events Roundup!

Over the summer we held our annual induction events for college and university student officers. The focus of both events was how to use quality to enhance students’ learning and teaching experience.

That’s Quality Universities took place on 26th and 27th July 2017 at West Park Conference Centre in Dundee. We welcomed over 30 delegates from 16 universities across Scotland. The two-day event included sessions on the new Enhancement Theme presented by the Chair of the Theme, Professor Karl Leydecker from the University of Dundee and a session on how students’ associations can use the variety of data universities have about learning and teaching, presented by Dr Alistair Robertson from the University of Abertay. We were pleased to be joined by representatives from our partner agencies: the Scottish Funding Council, QAA Scotland, and NUS Scotland to discuss the importance of student engagement in quality enhancement.

That’s Quality Colleges took place on 9th August 2017 at City of Glasgow College. There were over 50 delegates from 25 colleges, as well as guest speakers from colleges, Education Scotland, the Scottish Funding Council and NUS Scotland. There was a packed agenda, with sessions including how to engage with college data and the new How Good is Our College? review framework.

It was fantastic to meet so many enthusiastic new and returning student officers at the events. We look forward to working with you all in the year ahead!
