We are delighted to announce the dates for our 2017-18 Academic Representation Co-ordinators’ network meetings, the first of which is open for bookings!
The network brings together academic representation and student engagement staff from universities, colleges and students’ associations across Scotland to learn, share and develop in their roles.
This year, based on feedback from previous events, we are taking ARC on tour! Forthcoming dates and venues are below; you can register now for the November meeting, and please save the dates for the latter two meetings, registration for which will open nearer the time:
- Wednesday 29th November 2017 at City of Glasgow College (City Campus) - see the event booking page to register!
- Tuesday 20th February 2018 at Dundee University Students’ Association
- Wednesday 9th May 2018 at University of Stirling Students' Union
The event hashtag for all of the ARC events, for use on Twitter, is #sparqsARC
The November meeting will include a major presentation and panel session on the role of student-led teaching awards in generating data for enhancement. It will also feature discussion of sustainability in the curriculum, and the engagement of school pupils in university and college learning environments. There will also be an opportunity to bring forward scenarios for confidential discussion with peers (please contact us if you would like to submit a topic or scenario for discussion).
Topics at the February and May 2018 meetings will include developments in university and college quality activity, lead representation, approaches to online course rep training, personal development in student engagement roles, and much more.
