Invitation for students to feed into QAA’s defining degree outcomes events in August

An opportunity for students to attend and contribute to a QAA event around their work on defining degree outcomes has arisen and we would encourage interested student officers to sign up!

QAA are running two events in August and are keen to receive further feedback from students before they finalise their work in the area. They are hosting two events:

  • Tuesday 7th August 2018 at The Studio, Manchester, starting at around 10.30am and closing at around 3pm.
  • Thursday 16th August 2018 at Glasgow Caledonian University, starting at around 10.30am and closing at around 3pm.

Please contact Amy Spencer a.spencer@qaa.ac.uk to register your interest for either event. She will be able to provide further details in due course.

QAA have created a sector-wide grid of descriptors to define First, Upper Second, Lower Second, Third and Pass degrees. QAA have continued to refine and revise these statements through feedback from Quality Code consultation events, the QAA conference, the Evolving Student Engagement conference, QAA’s Student Advisory Committee and other events, including our That’s Quality! Universities training in Stirling.

For further information, please contact Amy Spencer at the Quality Assurance Agency - a.spencer@qaa.ac.uk
