SE Staff Network meeting open to book - 5th February 2020

Bookings are now open for the next meeting of the sparqs' Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN) which is taking place on Wednesday 5th February 2020 at Forth Valley College's Falkirk Campus.

SESN (previously ARC) has proved to be a valuable forum for staff who support student engagement and academic representation activities to get together to discuss latest developments in the sector, contribute to the work of sparqs and other agencies, and share practice and challenges in a supportive professional networking environment.

The network meets three times each academic year and is aimed at staff in roles related to student engagement in quality across both colleges and universities. SSEN welcomes all institutional or students' association staff whose roles involve supporting and developing student engagement; including academic representation, student engagement in committees, reviews, feedback and governance, and approaches to planning and celebrating student partnership.

As usual, the second meeting of this academic year has a packed agenda, with a whole morning of split sector sessions on the many latest developments in college and university quality, plus a shared look at Gender Action Plans, course self-evaluation, and the latest in sparqs’ work.

The event hashtag, for use on Twitter, is #sparqsSESN

See the event booking page to view the provisional agenda for the day and to register to attend on 5th February.

For further information about the network, contact Simon Varwell, Senior Development Consultant, at simon.varwell@sparqs.ac.uk.

Wider information about the SESN, including materials from previous meetings of the ARC network, can be found on the SESN webpage
