Happy New Year from the sparqs team!

Happy new year from the sparqs team! We're looking forward to a busy 2020, and look forward to working with all our colleagues across the sector and beyond during the coming year.

We're also looking forward to welcoming a new Development Consultant to the team on 13th January! Denise McCaig is joining us on a year's maternity cover, in preparation for Hannah going on maternity leave in February.  Denise was previously the Student Engagement Manager at Heriot-Watt University so will be well able to hit the ground running!  We know you'll all join us in welcoming Denise to the sparqs team.

We're kicking off the new year with further meetings of our two network events, one for staff and one for student officers, both of which bring together both college and university delegates.

Both network events are now open for bookings, so please sign up if you're coming along....

We have a lot of exciting pieces of work which we look forward to continuing and developing during 2020, much of which involve working jointly with our sector agency partners, institutions and students' associations. Developing areas include our work around Mental Health and Well Being, education officer induction in colleges, our Young Leaders of Learning and pupil voice work in schools, engagement of postgraduate and transnational students, and much more.  Much of our work involves opportunities for you to get involved, through working groups and projects, so please keep yourself up to date with any opportunities by continuing to read these regular news mailings!

If you contacted us over the festive season we'll get back to you ASAP, if we've not already been in touch.

Best wishes for a good 2020 from the sparqs team!
