sparqs is proud to announce our Student Engagement Awards for 2021! In what would normally be a year for our internationally renowned biennial conference, the challenges for student engagement and the importance of partnership are at the forefront of our minds as the impact of the pandemic continues. Although we have not held a conference in 2021, we nonetheless want to celebrate the successes of our sector through an online awards ceremony that will be take place on Tuesday 22nd June.
This event will be a chance to showcase the creativity, resilience and dedication of our universities, colleges, students’ associations, agencies, staff and students across Scotland. We will also launch a report highlighting some of the great things our sector has achieved in student engagement, and of course announce the winners of our awards in six categories.
The 2020-21 academic year has seen so much disruption and upheaval in the learning experience and the lives of staff and students, but throughout there has been a continued and strengthening commitment to partnership between staff and students as the key to recovery and enhancement. From course level to the national level, and on topics as diverse as mental health in the curriculum, alternative assessments and digital learning, staff and students have worked together admirably to enhance learning.
By our deadline of 9.00am on Monday 31st May, we therefore encourage you to submit your examples of successful partnership and engagement to our Student Engagement Awards and accompanying report.
Everything you need to know about the awards, report and ceremony, including details of how make a submission, is on our Student Engagement Awards 2021 page.
We look forward to receiving your submissions and to seeing you at our ceremony!
