That's Quality! is our annual, quality induction event for education officers and those who support them. The event is designed to help new officers engage in quality processes and is a key opportunity for both incoming and continuing student officers with an education remit.
Evolving each year, in line with the move to a tertiary quality system in Scotland, That’s Quality! has been a tertiary event since 2023:

That's Quality! 2026
Evolving each year, That’s Quality! 2026 is split into two parts. Delegates are required to complete both elements - a self-study module and an extended residential training event. Following feedback from the 2025 event, an additional half-day has been added to the tertiary residential event and there are no longer online sector-specific half-days.
The self-study module is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of quality in Scotland, designed to be used throughout an officer’s time in office.
The two and a half-day, in-person, residential training event is an opportunity for interactive group activities which will allow attendees to explore what they have learnt in practice and to network with colleagues from across the tertiary sector. The residential event will take place across Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th August 2026 at Queen Margaret University, beginning at lunchtime on Monday 10th, followed by two full days on 11th and 12th August.
See the event booking page for more information and to register to attend. At the request of some institutions, this event now opens earlier for bookings, to allow flexibility in terms of which financial year the costs are attributed to.
Please note that ahead of the residential event, we will be offering two optional online introductory sessions, aimed at new officers. More details will be provided upon registration.
