Our SLE workshops are now open for students to register!

As outlined in our previous news article published on 1st November, sparqs is currently undertaking a national project exploring the Student Learning Experience (SLE).  We are pleased to announce that the cross-institutional workshops (one for university students and one for college students) are now open to book!

The project has been commissioned by the Scottish Funding Council (SFC), the funding body for colleges and universities, to redevelop its Student Learning Experience model. The updated model will form a key part of the sector’s new quality framework in universities and colleges. This framework will put the experiences of students at the centre of discussions institutions have about the quality of their learning and teaching.

As well as the two cross-institutional workshops, we also put out a call for institutional support to host workshops. Therefore, many institutions are hosting their own workshops, for which we are hugely thankful. Some of these institutional workshops are open to all students or reps, while others are aimed at particular groups of the student population.

We are keen to get as many students as possible along to the workshops, whether via institutional workshops, or by attending one of the central cross-institutional events. We would be grateful if students' associations could share this information with students, particularly if your institution is not hosting a workshop in-house. If you have any queries about whether your own institution is hosting a workshop, you can email admin@sparqs.ac.uk for more information.

How to book onto a cross-institutional workshop:

Students can register to attend a sparqs' workshop by visiting the relevant event booking page below.  Students from tertiary institutions (SRUC and UHI) are welcome to attend either event.
