QAA Scotland has recently launched a nomination process to appoint three new student representatives to SHEEC (Scottish Higher Education Enhancement Committee) for 2023-24.
Details of the nominations process and how to apply online can be found on the QAA website. Applications must be submitted by Monday 11th September 2023.
This is a fantastic opportunity and there are significant benefits for students in becoming a representative on SHEEC; it provides students with a unique opportunity to influence policy development, is a wonderful personal development opportunity and will bring a real sense of purpose and fulfilment at a time when working in partnership with our student community is taking on a new perspective.
Nominations can be made either by students' associations or through student self-nomination. QAA ask that self-nominating students contact their local students' association. The nominee doesn’t need to be a sabbatical officer but would need to demonstrate experience and involvement beyond their immediate programme and department/school.
