sparqs' team news!

As many of you may know, Stef Black has been seconded from sparqs to the Scottish Funding Council (SFC) for the past year, in the role of Senior Policy Officer. Stef has recently made the decision to continue in her SFC role on a permanent basis, and while she will be greatly missed within sparqs, it is a fantastic opportunity for her and we know she will continue to achieve great things in the role! We are delighted that she's staying within the sector and that we can continue to work with her.

Stef joined sparqs in March 2017 and played a key role in our work around student engagement with national sector agencies, learning, teaching, and quality, as well as sector policy developments. She oversaw sparqs' work in supporting institutions regarding their student engagement with reviews and quality arrangements, as well as working with the sector on developments in those areas, such as the SFC’s Review of Coherent Provision and Sustainability.

In other team news, we are delighted that Gloria Laurini’s secondment to sparqs from Fife College Students’ Association has again been extended for a further year.

We know you will join us in congratulating Stef as she continues in her role with the SFC, and congratulating Gloria in her continuing role as a sparqs Development Consultant.
