SESN is a great way to keep in touch with colleagues working in similar roles in other Scottish institutions/students’ associations, and also to discuss latest updates from the sector, so make sure to sign up and note it in your calendar!
We are also keen to learn more about what practices you implement in your role and institution, so if you would like to share examples of student engagement activities, best practice, or suggest other topics for SESN meetings, please let us know by emailing Gloria at gloria.laurini@sparqs.ac.uk.
The agenda for the meeting will be circulated a week before the event. However, we are pleased to announce that during the meeting we will relaunch the Buddy Scheme! This will give the opportunity to new staff members who joined after the deadline closed last October, and for anyone else who is keen to have a buddy for the last months of 2024-25. Sign-up instructions and more details will be published on the day of the meeting.
As in previous years, we can now confirm that the last SESN meeting of 2024-25 is going to be a joint, in-person event with NEON and JAG (the National Education Officers’ Network and the Joint Advisory Group). The event will be hosted at Queen Margaret University on Wednesday 7th May 2025. Registration details will be circulated nearer the time, but in the meantime, please save the date!
