Update on ‘Student Partnership in Staff Development’ project

Our staff development project is making good progress, and has now progressed to its piloting phase. Following a callout to institutions in previous news articles, 14 Scottish tertiary institutions and sector agencies are now providing feedback on a suite of project resources in order to help us to refine them before launching in Autumn 2025.

Resources have been designed in response to the project needs analysis phase during which colleagues asked us for bitesize, practical, asynchronous outputs that can be (a) contextualised for their own institution and (b) embedded into existing staff development activities for a range of target audiences.  Outputs therefore include screencasts, summary papers, self-directed activities and session plans for staff development workshops. They have also been designed for three levels of practice: Introductory resources, Enhancing your own practice and Enhancing others’ practice.

We’ll provide further details and timelines for the launch of final project resources in future news articles.
