We are thrilled to announce that Hannah Clarke has been appointed as the Deputy Director of sparqs, an exciting new role within the organisation! Many of you will remember Hannah from her previous roles within sparqs, initially as a Development Consultant and then as a Senior Development Consultant, from 2014 to 2021. We are absolutely delighted that she is coming back to sparqs and can’t wait to work with her again when she rejoins us in mid-January 2026.
Hannah was hugely valued, both within the team and across the sector. She led on all things quality within sparqs, supporting students to engage in national policy developments in learning, teaching and quality; and co-ordinating our annual That’s Quality! programme. She is looking forward to getting up to speed with the new tertiary landscape and is well placed to hit the ground running.
Hannah moved on from sparqs in early 2021 to take up an exciting new role closer to home, at Glasgow School of Art. She was the Enhancement and Student Partnership Co-ordinator at GSA for 3½ years before taking up a role as Programme Quality Manager at The Breastfeeding Network. Prior to her original sparqs role, Hannah worked in college articulation at Glasgow Caledonian University and in student support services at the University of St Andrews. She is a graduate of the University of St Andrews and the University of London.
We know that sector colleagues will all join us in welcoming Hannah to her new role as Deputy Director!
