Introducing sparqs’ Student Engagement Analysis Workshop

We are delighted to introduce a new methodology that can help institutions and students’ associations to reflect on and develop their approaches to student engagement.

Our Student Engagement Analysis Workshop was developed for our international consultancy, where we have helped institutions and sectors beyond Scotland to begin to explore the concepts, tools and approaches of student engagement.

In spring 2019 we piloted this workshop in Scotland, at Glasgow School of Art and North East Scotland College, and we are now keen to work with other institutions across Scotland who are interested in this approach.

The workshop – a five-hour session that can involve between 25 and 40 participants from different staff and student representative roles – involves highly reflective, discursive activities that look at student engagement and partnership in an institutional context. This reflection generates outputs in the form of data and action plans, and sparqs can offer ongoing support in taking these forward in an institutional context.

There is more about the workshop on our website and we would be delighted to hear from institutions and students’ associations who would like to find out more or arrange a discussion.
