sparqs' team news

An update on some recent and forthcoming staff team news....

At the end of February we were very sad to say farewell to two members of our staff team, Hannah Clarke and Denise McCaig.

Hannah has been with sparqs since June 2014 and was soon due to rejoin us following her recent maternity leave.  However, as much as she used to enjoy the commute to Edinburgh, a fantastic new job at Glasgow School of Art was too good an opportunity to pass up! Our congratulations go to Hannah and we wish her well in her new role.  She was a much valued team member and will be sorely missed, but we're delighted that she's staying within the sector and we can continue to work with her.

Denise joined the team in January 2020 to cover a vacancy created by Hannah's maternity leave.  While most of her time in the team has been working remotely, Denise fitted in well and was able to hit the ground running, having previously worked in student engagement at Heriot-Watt for a number of years.  She has been a valuable team member this past year and we wish her well in her new job within the financial sector.

Lastly, as some of you may know, Stef Black is due to go on maternity leave at the end of March.  Our very best wishes go to Stef, whose new arrival is due in early May! An exciting year ahead for Stef and her family and we look forward to hearing her news!

On a more practical note, please see the interim sparqs' institutional contact list if you need to check who your sparqs' contact is.  An updated list will be published in April, once Stef has begun her maternity leave.

If you have any queries in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact us.
