Enhancing the Student Learning Experience through Dialogue Planning
This resource is a session plan for facilitating a workshop with staff.
It can also be used for facilitating a session within a taught staff development programme such as a Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE) or Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) or equivalent.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session students/participants will be able to:
- Critically evaluate their practice to identify an area of their unit/course/module that they wish to enhance using a ‘students as partners’ approach.
- Individually plan an enhancement-focused dialogue with their students using the Student Learning Experience (SLE) model.
- Refine their dialogue plan through peer review and critique with colleagues.
