Strategic review of Student Partnership initiatives at institutional level (using Scotland’s Ambition for Student Partnership)

This resource is a podcast which captures the approaches that Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) took to using the sparqs Scotland’s Ambition for Student Partnership resource as a foundation for undertaking a strategic review of student partnership initiatives their institution, and aligning this with preparation for their forthcoming Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review (TQER) visit.
The podcast covers key points:
- The background to ENU’s strategic review of student partnership initiatives and links with concurrent development of their new Student Partnership Agreement (SPA).
- Elements of Scotland’s Ambition for Student Partnership resource they found to be particularly useful.
- How they got started with desk-based mapping before embedding a co-creation approach with their Students’ Association.
- Co-creation of a RAG (red, amber, green) rated ‘Indicators of Practice’ strategic output for ENU, which identified shared priority areas of focus around student partnership.
- Examples of how their Students’ Association engaged ENU students in strategic review activities (e.g. using Mentimeter).
- Anticipated links with their Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review (TQER) visit.
