The first meeting of our Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN) for the 2021-22 year took place on Tuesday 14th September, part of our series of monthly, half-day events for staff in student engagement and academic representation support roles.
The agenda focused on the shape of the year ahead in terms of quality and student engagement, and had two main sessions. Firstly, we looked at what the SFC Review means for the sector, and the implications for students’ associations and partnership. Secondly, we had split sector sessions looking at the Developing College Students' Associations project (for colleges) and the Enhancement Themes (for universities). We concluded with a short reflection on summer induction activities, followed by our usual final half hour of open, informal chat.
