Description
The second meeting of our Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN) for academic year 2024-25 will take place on Thursday 28th November 2024, continuing our series of half-day events for staff in student engagement and academic representation support roles.
The agenda will be published in due course, but as always, it will reflect current developments in student engagement.
SESN is a great way to keep in touch with colleagues working in similar roles in other Scottish institutions and students’ associations, and also to discuss latest updates from the sector. We are also keen to learn more about what practices you implement in your role and institution, so if you would like to share examples of student engagement activities, best practice, or suggest other topics for SESN meetings, please let us know by emailing Gloria at gloria.laurini@sparqs.ac.uk.
When booking, please remember to make sure the date is in your calendar!
The event hashtag, for use on X/Twitter, is #sparqsSESN
Timings and practical details
The link will open from 9.45am, and the meeting itself will begin at 10.00am and finish by 1.00pm. It is free to join, and details of the joining arrangements will be circulated to those who register nearer the date of the meeting.
As we are not constrained by venue size, there is no limit to the number of participants from institutions. However, delegates are still required to register, so that we know numbers and can keep the event secure. As usual we specifically invite registrations from staff from institutions or students’ associations in Scotland with student engagement or academic representation responsibilities.
