Description
Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs) in Scotland are invited to join sparqs for a conversation around the PGR Experience. (Note, there is a separate event for staff and sector agencies who support PGRs).
sparqs is undertaking a project to create a model of the Postgraduate Research Experience, akin to the model available for taught students. The model will play a key role in quality enhancement processes across Scotland, and sparqs is keen to ensure the model is representative of the authentic PGR experience.
This will be an interactive workshop designed to capture PGR views on the elements of their research experiences. PGR contributions will directly contribute to the design of the model, including the building blocks and reflective questions.
The event is open to any Postgraduate Researcher (PGR) at any Scottish institution. If you cannot attend the entire duration, we’d still welcome your participation.
Another intake of this workshop, with the same content, took place on Wednesday 11th March 2026 (2-5pm).
PGRs in Scotland who cannot attend either date are encouraged to participate through our asynchronous form.

As we are not constrained by venue size, there is no limit to the number of participants. We still require you to register, though, so we know numbers and can keep the event secure.
