Description
sparqs’ Tertiary Advisory Group (STAG) met in person on Tuesday 12th May 2026 with the National Education Officers’ Network (NEON) and Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN) to explore sparqs’ future work.
This annual joint workshop once again helped to inform our work plans for the year ahead. A key topic on the agenda was around sparqs’ support for student engagement and partnership in the Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework (TQEF) – updating on current developments, reflecting on activity and progress within institutions and how sparqs can continue to provide support.

We welcomed members from our three forums (STAG, NEON and SESN) to this day to contribute to the design of our support activities. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the day.
Timings and practical details
The event took place at Queen Margaret University, beginning at 10.00am and finishing by 3.00pm.
Lunch and refreshments were provided and the event was free to attend.
