College Students’ Association Staff: Peer Development Group

Description

This event was aimed at students’ association staff, and staff whose role involves supporting the students’ association.

The aim of the event was to kickstart the creation of a peer development network for students’ association staff. Similar networks have been developed in England and Wales, and are at their most effective when led by their members.

This first meeting involved discussions on what members would want a group like this to deliver, and preferred structure. NUS and sparqs also provided training and discussion opportunities on some of the more urgent development issues, for example upcoming elections and how to get good candidates to stand.
