It's nearly time for our first Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN) online meeting of 2023-24, which will be followed the next again month, by an in-person, joint meeting with NEON and JAG colleagues!
SESN is a professional network for staff in colleges, universities and students’ associations with roles relating to the co-ordination and development of student engagement in quality.
This first meeting will take place on Wednesday 13th September 2023, on Zoom, from 12noon to 2pm. This is a slightly shorter meeting to accommodate for the busy schedule of our network members, and because we will have the opportunity to meet in person soon after that, in October. The agenda for the first meeting in September will be published in the next few weeks, for the time being make sure to save the date and sign up to attend the September meeting.
On Thursday 5th October 2023, there will be a 'Planning for the year ahead' meeting, in-person from 2.00-5.00pm at SKYbar, Doubletree by Hilton, in Edinburgh. This meeting will be held jointly with NEON and JAG colleagues. As you may know, the 5th October meeting is taking place just prior to the sparqs' 20th birthday event and 2023 Student Engagement Awards ceremony. When booking, you will have the option to stay on for the evening celebrations (taking place from 6.00-8.00pm at the same venue). Dinner will be provided between meetings for those attending both the afternoon planning meeting and the birthday/awards celebrations. See the event booking page to register to attend on 5th October.
