It's nearly time for our first National Education Officers' Network (NEON) online meeting of 2023-24, which will be followed the next again month, by an in-person, joint meeting with SESN and JAG colleagues!
The network provides an opportunity for officers from both colleges and universities with an education remit, to discuss and work on key sector issues together. It is a welcoming space for individuals to share their experiences and knowledge, providing an opportunity to network with colleagues!
This first meeting will take place on Monday 18th September 2023, on Zoom, from 11.00am to 1.00pm. This is a slightly shorter meeting to accommodate for the busy schedule of our network members, and because we will have the opportunity to meet in person soon after that, in October. The agenda for the first meeting in September will be published in the next few weeks, for the time being make sure to save the date and sign up to attend the September meeting.
On Thursday 5th October 2023, there will be a 'Planning for the year ahead' meeting, in-person from 2.00-5.00pm at SKYbar, Doubletree by Hilton, in Edinburgh. This meeting will be held jointly with SESN and JAG colleagues. As you may know, the 5th October meeting is taking place just prior to the sparqs' 20th birthday event and 2023 Student Engagement Awards ceremony. When booking, you will have the option to stay on for the celebrations (taking place from 6.00-8.00pm at the same venue). Dinner will be provided between meetings for those attending both the afternoon planning meeting and the birthday/awards celebrations. See the event booking page to register to attend on 5th October.
