After our first successful Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN) meeting for this academic year, registrations are now open for the following two meetings, on Thursday 5th October 2023 (joint, in-person, planning meeting with NEON and JAG, as previously advertised) and a regular SESN meeting on Wednesday 29th November 2023 (online).
The network is open for staff in universities and colleges with student engagement and academic representation development roles. You can keep in touch with the whole network by signing up to the SESN Jiscmail.
If you’re planning to attend the joint SESN/NEON/JAG planning event on 5th October (which will be followed by sparqs 20th birthday celebrations!) please sign up by the end of Wednesday 27th September. The planning workshop will run from 2.00pm-5.00pm at SKYbar, Doubletree by Hilton, Edinburgh.
The next regular SESN meeting on Wednesday 29th November will take place from 10.00am to 1.00pm via Zoom. See the event booking page to register to attend. The agenda will follow later but will reflect current developments in student engagement.
We are also keen to learn more about what practices you implement in your role and institution, so if you would like to share examples of student engagement activities, best practice, or suggest other topics for SESN meetings, please let us know by emailing gloria.laurini@sparqs.ac.uk.
