The second National Education Officers’ Network (NEON) meeting for 2024-25 is taking place on Tuesday 25th February 2025, on Zoom, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. See the event booking page to register to attend and please save the date in your diary!
NEON is designed to be a space for student officers with education remits from colleges and universities across Scotland, to network and work on issues together in a cross-institutional capacity. Following a review of the scope and purpose of the network, the meetings will build on the training provided by sparqs during our That’s Quality! event in July and August 2024, by strengthening student officers understanding on the new Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework and by preparing them to engage with the process.
The agenda for the meeting will continue discussions on how to best support the officers in engaging with the current quality landscape in their institution and considering how to prepare an effective induction for new officers.
As in previous years, we are happy to announce that the last NEON meeting of 2024-25 is going to be a joint, in-person event with SESN and JAG (the Student Engagement Staff Network and the Joint Advisory Group). The event will be hosted at Queen Margaret University on Wednesday 7th May 2025. Registration details will be circulated nearer the time, but in the meantime, please save the date!
Make sure you sign up to the NEON JISCMail - https://jiscmail.ac.uk/sparqsNEON - to keep up to date with further communications. The Jiscmail is also a great way to keep in touch with sabbatical officers in other Scottish students’ associations.
