Following previous successful combined events, sparqs’ three stakeholder forums will gather again in May for a joint, in-person meeting to explore sparqs' future work.
On Tuesday 12th May 2026 sparqs’ Tertiary Advisory Group (STAG), National Education Officers’ Network (NEON), Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN) and members of our Trustee Board will meet for a day-long workshop, taking place at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
This annual, joint workshop will once again help to inform our work plans for the year ahead. A key topic on the agenda will be around sparqs’ support for student engagement and partnership in the Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework (TQEF) – updating on current developments, reflecting on activity and progress within institutions and how sparqs can continue to provide support. We will also take the opportunity to seek members’ views on our plans for developing a new sparqs’ website.
The full agenda for the day will be circulated nearer the time.
We welcome members from our three forums (STAG, NEON and SESN) to join sparqs' staff and Trustees for this day to contribute to the design of our support activities.
Registration and practical details
Please see the event booking page to register to attend.
NB: while members of SESN and NEON no longer have to register for the regular, online network meetings, we require registration for this joint meeting in May, given that it is in person.
The event will begin at 10.00am and finish by 3.00pm. Lunch and other refreshments will be provided and the event is free to attend. Joining instructions will be sent to those who register nearer the time.
Please note that sparqs' AGM will follow this meeting, from 3.30-4.00pm. Trustees and those who sit on our Members' Steering Group will receive separate information regarding this.
