Quest for Quality by Students (QUEST)

sparqs is involved in an ESU (European Students Union) led European Commission funded project called QUEST which aims to define a pan-European student concept of quality in learning and teaching within higher education institutions. This will then be used by ESU’s student experts on quality to empower student led quality across Europe.

sparqs’ main role within this project is through the development of three workshops for student experts on quality. The first workshop to be held in Edinburgh in July will allow the student experts to have input into the project including feedback on research findings of students’ perceptions of quality. During the workshop we will also look at the different experiences in quality assurance and enhancement across Europe. The training will then help the student experts develop the skills and knowledge necessary to empower students within quality of learning and teaching. Student experts will also be involved in the other workshops, as well as site visits to institutions to gain a better understanding of quality issues across Europe.

If you would like more information on the QUEST project please contact sparqs on 0131 622 6599.

ESU are also looking for more students to join the experts pool. Applicants need to be students within an HEI and have experience of representation, and ideally have been involved in quality at some level e.g. course representative, involvement in ELIR. If you, or any students you know, are interested in applying then please contact Allan Päll at ESU on allan@esu-online.org
