Join our online, informal SESN and NEON catch-ups

Our officer and staff networks (NEON and SESN) usually meet three times each academic year.  However, in the meantime, and throughout the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we will also be organising more frequent, informal catch-ups, in order for us to keep in better contact with network members during the constantly-changing situation.  Just bring your own coffee and cake!

Student Engagement Staff Network (SESN)

On Wednesday 24th June 2020 we're holding a short, informal catch-up SESN meeting, to allow network members to keep in touch and share practice and experiences during the COVID-19 crisis.

The catch-up (from 11.00am until 12.30pm) will include a very short update from sparqs with some questions for discussion, but the time will mostly be free for practitioners to share experiences as we all continue to support student engagement during lockdown.

See the event booking page for more information and to register to join us for the catch-up.

The event hashtag, for use on Twitter, is #sparqsSESN

National Education Officers' Network (NEON)

On Thursday 20th August 2020, we're holding a short, online meeting by Zoom, to allow for an informal catch-up with university education officers. While the network meetings usually involve both college and university officers, this August one is aimed at university officers only, as college officers already have our two-day That's Quality! training in August, and we are mindful of the significant time commitment which that already involves.

The next NEON meeting bringing together both college and university officers, as usual, will take place online on Wednesday 7th October - please all save that date for now (registration will open nearer the time).

At the catch-up on 20th August (from 11.00am until 12.30pm), there will be a very short update from sparqs with some questions for discussion, but the time will mostly be free for officers to discuss their experiences in the role as the impact of covid-19 continues, and to collectively consider shared issues.

See the event booking page for further details, and to register to join us for the catch-up.

The event hashtag, for use on Twitter, is #sparqsNEON

If you want to discuss this meeting further please contact Megan Brown, Development Consultant - megan.brown@sparqs.ac.uk - 07469 354245.
