There's still time to register for the half-day online training for student members of college boards of management, taking place on the morning of Thursday 5th September 2024.
This annual induction training is part of the College Development Network’s Governance Development Programme, and covers the role of student members of boards in Scottish colleges.
The event will introduce new student board members to the operation of college boards in Scotland to prepare them for their roles. Staff from CDN, sparqs and NUS Scotland will introduce various aspects of the legal and organisational structures governing the business of college boards and the frameworks that support student engagement in colleges.
If you are a student member of a college board of management, this training will be an essential part of your effectiveness in your role. The course is free, and available for booking on CDN's website.
