Updated education officer induction and outduction resources

We are delighted to announce our annual update to our induction and outduction resources for education officers, designed to support institutions and students’ associations during their annual officer handover processes.

The two updated resources we’ve published include:

These guides have been prepared for institutional and students’ association staff to develop and enhance their support programmes for new and outgoing education officers. Whether you already have a robust process that you’d just like to reflect on and enhance, or you need to build a brand-new process for induction or outduction, these resources will help you to maximise the impact of your programmes.

Induction resource

The Education officer induction resource contains guidance for staff from the students’ association and institution to work collaboratively on a suite of training sessions and activities for newly-elected education officers. This includes sessions related to onboarding, such as an example activity to introduce incoming education officers to the Student Learning Experience model.

Outduction resource

The Education officer outduction resource provides a suite of activities to help outgoing education officers to reflect on skills gained in the role and how their experience might translate to future career and life ambitions.

We’d be delighted to support institutions and students’ associations as they plan and update their officer induction and outduction programmes, so do get in touch with your sparqs key contact for additional advice and assistance.
