Suggested questions to help course reps 2024-25

Alongside the revised Student Learning Experience model, sparqs has also produced a revised set of Suggested questions for course reps for 2024-25.  These questions can help reps collect feedback from classmates in specific thematic areas.

Collecting student feedback enables course reps to work in partnership with staff to co-design effective solutions to the issues that students bring, enabling students to have a positive experience of learning.

The resource contains several questions organised under the nine building blocks of the SLE model. It also contains a commentary, with answers to questions like these:

  • Do I have to use all these questions?
  • Am I allowed to change these questions?
  • How should I present the questions to classmates?
  • How do I choose which building block to ask about?

Please send this resource to your reps, with instructions for how you need them to use it.

These questions are a resource specially designed for course reps to use directly with the students they represent. We encourage institutions and students’ associations to continue to use the Student Learning Experience model and its accompanying reflective questions to lead discussions between students and staff on the student learning experience and to work together to make positive changes.

The updated suggested questions resource is available in the sparqs’ Resource Library, as is the revised SLE model
