Suggested questions for Course Reps to use 2022-23 - sparqs

A Student Learning Experience resource providing ‘suggested questions for course reps’ for the 2022-23 AY. This resource had been updated in previous years to reflect the pivot to online learning and the changes to the learning environment as a result of COVID. As we move out of the pandemic and return to in-person learning, we have once again updated the resource to reflect the current landscape in which students are learning.
This version includes a series of new questions spread across the seven headings that reflect on the changes of the last few years, without explicit reference to the pandemic as previous versions have. We have also included four topics that students and staff might wish to explore further as part of the course representative system. They are:
- Online and blended learning
- Mental Health & Wellbeing
- Education for Sustainable Development
- Anti-racist curriculum
The resource contains commentary on the four topics, exploring what they are and what reps might want to think about in relation to them. There are also new questions dotted throughout the resource that relate to these topics that will hopefully help support dialogue between reps and course staff when thinking about both challenges and improvements. We have now also included helpful descriptors for all seven headings that details a little more about what each header includes.
